I just got this in my email. Apparently I signed up for something on the gm-z06 website. Today, I get the messaged I have pasted below in my inbox. Anyway, I did as the message said and voila, the certificate was emailed to me within 30 seconds. I read it and no catch or gimmick that I can see, just a smooth $500 off the purchase or lease price of any new gm between July 19 and October 1. Sorry this is piecemeal information, but I'll try to backtrack to what the hell I did to get this thing. Joe,

I'd love to but the thing is personalized to me with name, address, etc. I tried to change the info or blank it out on the screen but it cannot be done. It was probably done this way on purpose for security reasons. I wish I could scan it in to show you but the damn scanner at work requires at least a doctoral level degree in molecular astro physics to operate it. Can't copy it either because only the original person issued to can redeem. There are instructions for the dealer to call to verify the original holder of the certificate. Therefore, I would suggest getting on the landline to the General and making some noise. Or, Maybe you can fill out the info page that I linked you to and then call and find out when your certificate will arrive. I'll keep looking for ways to get you guys in on it.

Thanks for the great information! I got through to GM and they told me that this was a promotion tageted to a seect few people who contacted the Corvette website. The GM rep. told me that the incentive specifically told him that no one could be added to this list.

If anyone else has better luck, I would sure like to know how to get this done!

I called the phone number and the girl there was only slightly familiar with the incentive program of $500, but she did say it does indeed exist! Thanks for the info Muckdogs, perhaps some of us can also save a few dollars. Bill

I hope I get one. I filled out all sorts of stuff online when I was getting ready to order. I was actually put in touch with my first dealer that way. A great guy at the local dealer called me. Went in and talked and was ready to do business. Called back to put it in, and he said he was staring at the fifth corvette they had to sell right then. They only did four.
Oh well. New dealer now. I am next on the allocation list. Here's hoping their next one is blue... And that I get the same deal as you guys.

This is WAY too funny. I had filled out some questionaire also...whenever this issue was first posted. Out for dinner last night and had a couple of pops. Before sack time I decided to check my email. WOW, there is was...you know, "click here", fill out the info for this certificate. Well, I went on to see a few other emails, went back to the screen to delete some with the thought I'd fill out whatever for this $500 piece. Yup, I deleted this gem by mistake....something I ate no doubt!!! PANIC...quickly sent an email to GM explaining my goof and could they please re-send to me. Within MINUTES I got a response, "No help here". That's it, nothing more. I emailed back with the question, "Where can I go to get this resent?" No response. I had heard somewhere I can bring back up deleted email. Well, I went thru all the crap I could til about 1 am and was stumped. Keep in mind that I have AOL 4.0 and have never bothered to upgrade to 6.0. Called my son this am (has 6.0) and he tried to guide me but I'll be damned if we could find it here. He said deleted mail is usually kept for 24 hours....I had no idea when this was sent...hop in the car, a 20 mile run to my son's house. Signed on his computer and sure as hell, it's easy to find "deleted mail". Brought it back up as "new"---did the "click here" and the response was you will be emailed a certificate shortly. OK, back home now so decide to check my email. This gets even better guys. There it is in my incoming email, "HERE IS YOUR CERTIFICATE"...only thing, I had 11 of the same messages...yup, 11. Printed the first one out and then looked at the rest. Exact same message but sent about 20 minutes apart. At last count I have 14 of these. By now I suspect 15 and 16 are sitting there. Man, if I could stack these, I figure I'd have a new Z06 by tomorrow night for FREE!!! LOL...I will have a Z06 this week...trying like hell for a yellow and have an offer out but won't know til tomorrow. Cheers guys...once I get it, am sure we will be talking more.
