I have a 02 with about 15k miles on it, mobil 1 in the sump that reads full on the dipstick.
When cold I read about 45 - 47psi at idle and mid to high 70's shifting at about 4k rpm.

When oil temp is above 160 or so it idles in the high 30s and runs in the high 60s while running thru the gears.

Do these numbers sound normal? I don't ever remember seeing my oil pressure gauge bent that far over to the right.
Keep in mind I'm not hammering the gas, just normal driving.

Sounds normal, actually a little higher than most.

The pressure is indeed getting higher on my car. I just found a post I did on the exact same subject after my 1st or 2nd oil change and it had jumped then. Now, it's even higher.

Well, it looks like one last trip to the dealer before the warranty runs out.

Mine runs a little lower than that, but it gets up there at times. I don't worry on it too much, it seems normal most of the time.
