Does anyone know if the northeast state emission option code NG1 robs horsepower?

What year Corvette do you have? The 2002's are 50 state legal so the emissions are the same for everyone. Previously, in 2000, you got a pair of extra cats. I believe in 2001 everyone got the extra "pup" cats. If the material in those "pup" cats were to somehow fall out, you'd see a slight performance increase...IMHO

Bob,
I have a deposit down on an 02 Z06. I was noticing the options on a car from a dealer in the Northeast and the options on a car not from elsewhere and caught that the one for sale in the Northeast has listed option NG7 - Federal Emission Override and
NG1 - Northeast States Emission Requirements.
I am trying to find out if that is just admisitrative or if there is actually a difference in the cars.
