I am looking at replacing my front brake pads on the Z and called the local dealer and they told me that all pads for the Corvette are the same. I thought that the Z06 has special pads. Who is right?

:) If your driving mostly on the street......the 2002 Z06 pads are all you need. Will even be fine for some auto-cross meets occasionally. :)

If your into high speed track time........then...check out hawks.:D

Ditto....

....if only street use stick with the stock pads.

If heavy AutoX or track check out Hawks, Carbometallic, Mallett, Performance Friction, Porterfield. AND....get those stock rotors cryo'd + some good racing fluid; Motul, AP etc.

Check out the Links section.

Bake Pad Dust

What ever you decide to do on pads-double check to see just how matalic dust they leave on the wheels. I'm using pads on the front and rear that are very high in metal and didn't clean the rear wheels one night and after they got wet there is rust on the wheels. It is only rust from the dust but I have yet to find a way to clean them. Anybody with some ideas on this would be greatly appriciated.
