What is the consensus for a combo / strip / track rear gear??..........
3.42's stock.............
Any significant reason to go to 3.55's????????
3.73's are a bit much for track, but would do well on strip........IF you can keep things from "Breaking"............
You're opinions, and reasons please.................:)

I wrote a quick xl comparison of 3.42 to 3.73 for
LS6 and LS1 trans. It's attached as a zip file.
The ratio's can be changed for any combination.

The LS6 has a wide ratio (3 to 4) and is suitable
for 0-60 and fuel economy.

The LS1 trans with 3.90 rear would be a good combo.

You need WinZip or WinRar or something similar to open the zip file. Inside is a Microsfot Excel document. You'll need Excel to view it...

Z06LS6,
I can probably attach the XL file to a PM.
Let me know if you got WinZip to work, otherwise
I'll repost it in a self extracting format. Both sheets for LS1 and
LS6 link to a single variables for diff and diff1. So plugging in
new numbers on the wrong sheet will not update the graph.
I can post jpegs of the graphs if you don't have XL.
