I have a deposit on a '02 Z06 Quicksilver and hope to take delivery by Labor Day. I live in N. CA and arranged for what is called a courtesy customer delivery. Sort of like the Museum Delivery option program but without paying extra for it. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif
I went this route because ALL local dealers here in the NorCal area are price gouging and I refuse to bend over for them. So, I decided to buy from an out of state dealer.
My dealer is Bernard Chevrolet (ask for Craig Hanson at 1-800-847-1400) in Libertyville, Illinois. I recommend you check them out if you can't find a decent dealer where you live. From the Internet, you can browse their website at, http://bernardchevy.com/
I've never been to this dealership (again, I live in CA) but from what I've heard they are a big dealer and supposedly they have a sizeable Corvette allocation so they can order any color & options you desire.
This dealer can (as could any other) arrange to "drop ship" my new Z06 directly from Bowling Green factory to a local dealer close to me in CA, or anywhere in the USA, for that matter. Again, this alternative is called "customer courtesy delivery".
Once again, it is important to emphasize there is no additional delivery charge other than what is already itemized on the sticker for "vehicle transportation", ie, the standard delivery charge from the factory to any dealer located throughout the U.S.
