What sort of documentation can you get with these cars? I thought now might be a good time to ask the dealer for some of this stuff before the trail gets cold.

I appreciate your thoughts!

Zoomin,

The first piece of paper you will get will be the bill. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_lol.gif Then the reciept!!

They will do a dealer prep and you will recieve a checklist. You should also recieve a checklist from the delivery company.

Manuels, key I.D's, a folder to hold your paper work, license and title papers, manual, window sticker...that's all I can think of.

Of course make sure the dealer fills the gas tank up!!

Normal new car buying papers. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Hi Zoomin,

Here are some of the documents I have collected:

Chevrolet Maketing letters and brochures on Z06
2001 Corvette brochure.
Dealer invoice
Dealer window sticker
Actual window sticker
Parts Content/Emission info sticker
Assembly line build sheet (similar to tank sticker in the past)
Certificate of Appreciation (assisting in the birth of a Z06)
Odometer Disclosure Statement
Title application (owners copy)
Congratulations letter from Chevrolet
Temporary Plate/registration

Not for this car but for my last Vette I managed to get the shipping record from the
transportation co. Also this car (89) was
selected for a factory quality evaluation and
documentation about the additional miles was
included in the vehicle.

Good luck!

Obtaining the build sheet could be challenging. In my case, I was in the factory and witnessed my car going down the
assembly line. I did not opt for museum delivery but if you do a special tour of
the factory is now part of the package. This
may be an opportunity to get it.
Also a copy of it is placed in the front bumper support of the frame (This is the modern version of the tank sticker). I don't think it accessable without a major disassembly of the front end.
