Finally got some good weather on Saturday and finished getting the Blackwing on the Z06.

Put about 50 miles on it so far - it makes a difference!

How about submitting that to JC to be included in our Pit Road - How To section?

Thanks! I installed my Blackwing this weekend and these instructions/photos were a big help. You know what they say "A picture is worth a thousand words."

Great Pics. It is hard to understand why the manufactured can not include clear directions with pics. I was able to get the upper gromets to catch, but it was a struggle and they have a lot of side pressure on them.

Thanks, guys. Glad the photos were helpful for you. I'm still working the grommet situation but not too hard - the set up seems to work fine without the plenum ears seated over the posts.

Jwight:

Excellent photo how-to on installing the Blackwing filter assembly. I installed mine yesterday and like you, was unable to get the intake grommets over the pins. I will check and try to fix this small glitch after driving the car enough to get all parts to "settle" in place.
Additional tip....use a smear of liquid dishwashing soap on all grommet/locating pins for ease of installation.

Zippy,

Thanks! I used WD-40 on the grommets; maybe I'll try again on the upper ones.

See you in a couple of weeks in Windsor!
