So my Z went in last monday for rotor replacement... Supposed to be done that afternoon, it wasn't cuz someone thought it was waiting on parts. Was done tuesday afternoon.

This is the bad part, they fucked up at least one of the studs. Its stretched out 1/4" or so. Fucking techs that use impacts SUCK.

So my car is undrivable, I have to take it in tomorrow, probably wont get her back until next week.

ARGH

OH, and get this, when I pulled the lugs, they were torqued to all different values. Ok, so I didn't use a torque wrench to break them, but I know the difference between 100lbs, and 60lbs. On the same wheel.

Techs with impacts and dreams of changing tires for some nascar team really really really really really really really need to die.

Tell them you want to talk to an area service rep, there is a clear process for installing the wheels and tightening the wheels, most Chevy dealers do not follow it. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_frown.gif

Excuse me
For your information I am a GM tech.I am in St.Louis, Mo. You are taking your car to someone who just don't care. Yes I have a impact and I know how to use it. When it comes to corvette wheels I use a torque wrench.Oh,I dont use impacts to reassemble anything on a vette. So take it to somone that cares. Most techs don't like to even look at these cars.A little advice ask the tech that is working on your car if he likes to repair them or not.But don't have him work on your car if you don't get a good feeling about him.
