Well since the Z was new ive had a popping sound coming from the tops of the rear shock mounts. It has increasingly gotten worse and I had it written up on monday when I dropped the car off for the brakes. Has anyone else had any trouble with this?

No, I have not heard of this condition, and after a preliminary document search, there is nothing in the GM database as of this time.
Personally, I have not ever had an issue like this, so you may have a loose mount or stud.
Please keep us posted on the resolution to this issue, as I am interested, thank you, c4c5

Alright Mr. Dukes of Hazard, stop jumpin' the Z06.
Yea that jumping out of the driveway is really hard on the shocks. But seriously, they game me the age old answer today. We'll have to go for a ride with you cuz we cant duplicate it.
