I experienced for the first time the high temps that are attainable by our cars when left idleing or crawling along as I was for a given period of time. :eek2: So I was pondering which way I want to go to fix this "engineering flaw". Should I do the extra wiring & modules for the fan control that are offered by our vendors or buy a Predator programmer & change it with that? Unless I'm mistaken you can change the fan settings with the programmer right? If so, exactly what are those settings, 200,205? 200-205 I'm thinking is where I would like to be for the fan on/off. I would also change to a 180 t-stat to cool things off while driving at speed. I know a lot of you guys have made these changes & was courious to which way is the best to accomplish this. Also does anyone know what the settings are for the fan control wiring harness/modules sold by corvette garage among others?
Thanx. Chad

Speak for yourself, Kemosabe. It's dry as hell over here on the east side of the state.

IMO the fan controller is not clean. Wires to route, a probe you stick in between the fins in your radiator. It's does not look right and I don't believe it preforms correctly because of the location probe and placement of the probe. I have my fans set to come on at 193F and turn off at 183F. I used Predator. You can do this using Predator, LS1 edit, HP Tuners; there may be more tuning packages available. My coolant run 183 to 190F. My oil temps run 199 to 215F.
