I think I might be developing a warped rotor. Under normal braking, car surges..

Any ideas? /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_confused.gif

Thanks in advance,

Define surges? The best way I've found to prevent warping rotors is to torque the wheels down yourself. Star pattern, 35-60-70-78-84-86 lb increments.

Yes, I said a max-torque of 86lbs. If you dont put lube on the threads use 100lbs, 86 with lube (I never put the lugs on without lube).

Mine pulsed when they got especially hot from heavy use but they smoothed out when they got cool. How did this develop for you?

It feels exactly like another car I had with warped rotors although it doesn't seem consistent.

Will take to dealer next week and post news.

Frank: Glad you’re still with the forum.

Thanks all, /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Hi there,
There have been issues with places not torquing the wheels correctly before delivery, and then the rotors warping.
Wheel torque is critical, as was mentioned earlier. If the rotors have been turned, you may have other issues.
