I have a TPW of 7/23 for my EB Z06, so I figure a Museum Delivery around the 3rd week of August. I have already ordered an FRC partition from Nate, aftet hearing so many people speak highly of its practicality.

We will be driving the car about 650 miles or so back home from the Museum - probably will take two days and take the slow scenic route to keep the missus happy. That means luggage!!

So here's my question - do you think that if I shipped the partition down to the Museum, they would install it as part of the delivery? I would rather not haul it down on the plane, and I really like the idea of not having luggage shifting around during the trip back.

Inquiring minds want to know...

Take the slow scenic route their, you migt actually enjoy it. And you could carry the partition with you, so that it won't get damaged or lost./phpBB/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

That's what would do at least.

It took me a about 14 hours to get to Ft. Campbell, KY from South Florida. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif

BLEUBYU, the partition is real EZ to install[less than 10 minutes]. I helped a friend install it in his Z a coule of weeks ago. Wait until you get home. You may need the extra space for the luggage. My EB Z is being produced the same week. Have a safe trip and ENJOY! FUBU69/LES

Thanks for the advice FUBU69!. You may be right about waiting till getting back home to install the partition. The missus believes in being prepared for every possible weather condition, when she packs.

Geez, I remember the days when I would throw a couple of items in a knapsack, toss it into the back of my '69 vert, and be down the road in about 15 minutes.

Sigh...

I picked up at the museum. I drove 947 miles back to Minneapolis and had no problems with luggage or road noise. I may have still been in the "Happy Zone" and probably not have noticed if a tire came off at that point. In other words the car could do no wrong and still can't.

By the way, I drove back with a 7 month pregnant wife. So you can assume that the back was full of those things that wives think are "necessary" for a 2 day trip.
