The part # for the 12 disk changer that comes from the factory is 25685332.

If you order the changer from GM, these are the part #'s you will need.

Order from www.gmpartsdirect. MUCH cheaper!!

Changer 12495746 List: $496.00 GMPD: $297.00

Installation Kit 12497876 List: $120 GMPD: $72.00

Hope that is what you were looking for.

The kit is suppose to contain the wiring harness and mounting bracket.

I haven't seen a changer in a Corvette. Where does it install? In the center compartment? Does it sit vertically or horizontally? Easy to change the disk cassettes?

It installs vertically in the center compartment at the rear.

Thanks Frank, you can have her. Any particular delivery instructions? Such as plain brown wrapper holding a bottle of Tequila?

As to the subject at hand, There is supposed to be a GM Instruction Bulletin numered 12486240, but I don't know where to get that. Whadoya think Frank, Where would one aquire that?
