It amazing how one magazine can obtain exactly the same 0 to 60 numbers of 4.6 seconds for the Z06 in every article they print

. Are any of you guys that consistant?

Actually they have some good lap times for comparison. Check it out if y'all have time.

And at one third the price of a Ferrari 360 Modena, you would also have to say that it is a heck of a bargain!

They did not retest the acceleration of any of the cars in that comparo. The numbers they quoted are from prior tests; the 4.6 number for the Z06 is straight out of their August 2000 test where they had serious axle tramp and by their own admission, "left more than a few tenths on the table". Their 0-60 number for the S2000 is also incorrect at 4.9 (that's the NSX's number). Don't bother with R&T - they're a bunch of clowns pretending to be car enthusiasts. Unfortunately, they can neither drive nor write! What a joke!

I didn't think that they had retested the 0-60 on the Z, and the 4.9 0-60 for S2000 did seem a bit fast. However the lap times on the track seemed pretty good for the Z06 by comparison. Only the Ferrari 360 Modena was faster. It's too bad that R&T's inconsistency seriously undermines their credibility. It would be nice to know that the Z06 can beat the Porsche Turbo on a track for less than half the price.

BTW raj, beautiful car in the photo. My T/R Mod/Red Z06 should be delivered in a few weeks. The wait is driving me freakin' crazy.
