Hello all, I'm new to this forum, but frequent the corvette forum.I just finished swapping the cam in my 2007 Z06, but now I need to replace the PAC 1207x valve springs. If any of you have done this, did you use the TDC method or did you use compressed air in the cylinders? I've been reading and noticed some say definitely use air, and others say you're good as long as you have the piston at TDC. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

TDC process is a hassle and time consuming to get engine turned to proper TDC for each cylinder done
Best is to take out all 8 spark-plugs and allow via using a air-compressor connected to a spark-plug hole for a cylinder and that will prevent the valves dropping
Cap off the front of throttlebody so air is not leaking out.

Another way is use thin rope that is shoved into the spark-plug hole that fills the cylinder and prevents valves from dropping too low.
As it is takes only a few minutes to swap the valve springs so should go quickly using compressed air
