Installed rollbar and now it takes up 1/2 of the rearward view. Has anyone before attempted to move the mirror lower in order to peek under/through the rollbar?

Really want to preserve the anti-glare features and lights of the stock mirror.

Any ideas out there in the ether?

Many thanks in advance. :ity:

You may want to let people know what cage type, model # etc you have so they can relay the information that relates to your situation!!
Lots of guys out there with four point, six point and full cages!!
If you give them very specific info, you will be amazed at the guys with the same configuration and how the will help you!!

A thought,
Ken

mirrors generally hook onto a clip that is attached to the windshield. worse come to worse....go to the local dealer and purchase the clip that attaches to the windshield and move the mirror down to the new point. if the wires are too short you will have to lengthen them....not sure what others have done but that would be one approach...

You should also look at racing type panoramic type mirrors such as the "Wink" mirror. These expand the rearward field of view. Some in fact fit over or onto the exsisting mirror.

Other types of panoramic racing mirrors can be mounted on the roll cage or where the passenger side sunvisor is.

Also the OEM mirror will adjust not only on its ball and socket but the post will articulate as well. You may have enough adjustment if you play with it.

Rollbar Specs

My rollbar is 4-point, with a harness bar and diagonal crossmember. It was custom build. If the fabricator had formed the top of the hoop to conform with the coupe's roofline, :flaming: rearward vision would not be such an issue. Instead, the hoop is horizonal and passes/blocks the upper half of the rearview mirror. Hence the issue.

You must have just gotten that bar. As I noticed it for the 1st time when you made a left hand turn onto Naperville Blvd from Ogden the other day.
