I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH BOTH MY 2001-2002 Z06. SHIFTING FROM 1-2 I DO NOT HAVE A DROP IN RPMS.THE PROBELM IS WHEN I SHIFT FROM 2-3ED I GET A 1-2SEC. DROP IN RPM.S BEFORE THE ENGINE GOES BACK UP. I HAVE TRIED TO SHIFT AT 6000 INSTEAD OF 6400 BUT THE PROBLEM IS STILL THEIRE. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM. IT FEEL LIKE A FUEL PROBLEM.
Your problem sounds very similar to the one I have on my 02. My throttle sticks when lifting from light throttle applications. If I ease off the throttle from about 2500-3000 rpm the pedal returns but the fuel doesn't cut off. Very disconcerting.
Even more frustrating is that when I first took it to the local dealer for repair, they said they test drove it and couldn't duplicate the problem.
What :bs:
There was only 2 miles more on the odometer after their "test drive".
I drove it out the parking lot when I picked it up and the throttle stuck.
I have an appointment with another dealer on Tuesday. I'll let you know how it goes.
