The Z is finally at the dealer! :D It looks great even covered in all the protective glop!

AND... amazingly enough, GM has decided to put an incentive program in place for Vettes just when I need it. WOW! :guiness:

I'm picking it up Saturday. Time has really slowed down.:eek2:

I apologize in advance to all of you that live in the Northeast, we're bound to get a blizzard now...

Corvette theory of relativity:

Time gets slower and slower while waiting for the Z to be driven off. I though poor BrianK was going to break into negative time flow while waiting on the hobo's to evacuate :)

Of course the converse is true as well. After driving off, time speeds up and you are at your destination. Every trip I take now seems shorter.

To make time pass faster I think I'll order some chrome wheels. :yeadog: Gotta use up that $2k rebate somehow, right? :sneaky:

Sweet!!! Congrats on the purchase! You picking it up at Classic Chev.?

If you are up for a cruise we should hook up. We are heading to Maryland to meet up with some members next weekend. We could caravan down.

Anyway, congrats on the new ride and hopefully I'll see you on the road!

BTW, I have a Z06Vette.com banner in my car. If you want, I could catch up with you tomorrow night or Sat. morning and lend it to you for some cool photo shots at the dealer.

Let me know!

Looks like we'll get some decent weather for Saturday too.:D

Well, I actually picked it up a day early. I just couldn't wait! :D Drove it around a bunch on Friday and Saturday. Incredible car.

No rattles or anything. The paint is almost flawless, without much orange peel at all. Much better than the Torch red that was on my 99 Coupe. Everything fits well and everything works. :guiness:

Millenium yellow sure gets lots of attention. Unfortunately my plan to have the police mistake it for a school bus doesn't seem to be working out. :bang: I've already had a few, uh, "escorts", even though I'm still being nice to it.

The brakes, especially the fronts, make a ton of dust. I can see that keeping the wheels clean will be a full time job.

The handling is sweet! I expected it to be really good, but it's even better. Handles as well as some race cars I've driven.

Even with a green motor, it seems to want to run. I expect it will only get better. I can't wait for that first full throttle blast. :D

I guess if I have any complaint at all it's that the exhaust is so quiet. Maybe it will 'age' and get a bit more rumbly. In fact that already seems to have happened a bit.

All in all an incredible car. It's too bad that it rained Sunday, or I would have had it out some more.

Thanks for all the good wishes. This site is the best! :z:
