I responded to a post yesterday, but felt like I should say hello after joining the game. I've been lurking here for some time, ever since I decided to order an '02 Z in blue.

So, in the meantime, I'm driving my '93 red auto coupe, hoping I'll remember where to find the clutch pedal when the new ride finally gets built and delivered.

I've got to say that I've found it difficult to think of anything besides Z06's for the past 4 weeks, and the next 2-3 months looks like more of the same.

For what it's worth, I'm one of the old farts (54) on the board. I waited until last year to get my first Corvette, and quickly realized that I (a) should have done it years ago and (b) wasn't going to be satisfied with an automatic LT1. About a month ago, I made the mistake of looking at a Z at my local Chevy dealer (just looking, mind you), which led to the discovery that the '02 would boast a new color and some new horsepower .. and before you know it, I was handing money to a salesguy. Is this a great country or what?

welcome jerry! i find that the z06 is ALL i can think about. i bet i check this site every ten minutes looking for new info.

Zippy .. I've seen several pictures of the hood and fender from Bowling green, and the ones with the painted small panel held up against a NBM and a nassau Blue car for comparison. I've also seen the pic comparing the painted panel to an 88 Camaro blue, which looked pretty close. Then there's the so-called spy-shot, which looks like a lot darker blue, but according to Hib Halverson, is the real color.

At this point, I'm having nightmares about shades of blue .. having seen so many without knowing what it's really going to look like. The good news is that I can live with anything I've seen so far.
