Boy that Z06 window glass is thin...they saved weight all right but at what cost?
Driving under trees on a residential street, I heard a thump to the rear, and saw a hole in the rear window, in fact 2 holes, one on either side of the opening, with only the centre fragment panel being held in place by the defroster wires...what a shock and what a mess...who pays? My Vette is only 3 weeks old and I guess a visit to the General's dealer will determine the solution....so for all drivers of thin glazed Zee's...beware!

The O.E.M. back window is $1939.80 (M.S.R.P.) without labor or tax!!! I hope to God you have insurance!

I am not sure what shattered the window but the cost is $2050 C ++++..to drive it to the dealer without more frags falling out....the white knight turns out to be gray - duct tape- which should hold the remain shattered glass in place, but no driving the yellow banana for a week...will get out the 10 speed..
