Martin,

I have never done NCM delivery either and I've had 10 Vettes, 5 of which were C5s. I always thought it wasn't worth the money, but after watching my buddy Manatee take his delivery as well as few more friends, my next two Vettes will be NCM delivery at the same time. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

As far as the drive goes, I think it will be a once in a life time memorable experience that you should not miss!! /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I'm with Frank on this one. Though I have not had as many Vettes, I will get the NEXT one at he Museum. Just too /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_cool.gif to pass up. ...as for the drive, Frank is right on that too! (I'd take more than 3 days... vist a lot of places on the way home.

I would pass on the museum delivery if I were you. It sort of galls me that they charge extra money to drive the car about 2 miles to deliver it at the museum. They should knock $500 off the delivery price, not add $600. Apart from that you will have to fly there and then put 2,400 miles on your car before you can use it as you normally would, and pay for 3 days food and lodging.

The plus side is you get to see the museum and plant.

Do the delivery - It is a fantastic way to begin Corvette ownership, and is an experience you will never forget. It is very rare (I can only remember one) to hear from someone who took museum delivery and did not like it. Find a nice route home, and enjoy every minute.

If haven't already read me brag about my delivery, check this out:

I think it is a good idea. I live in Minnesota and put 950 miles on mine on the drive home. This enabled me to get it through the breakin miles and learn about the car. The plant tour is great. I used frequent flyer miles to fly in and stayed one night in a hotel and drove home. I also bought my Z from Kerbeck in Atlantic City NJ. I will probably never by a vette in Minnesota so I will probably do museum delivery every time.

It's is not recommended to break the car in this way, especially 2,400 highway miles.

It's your call.......
