You've heard of Uber? Thank me later. The Bus
I was at a party last night. I had a few beers, followed by a few cocktails, followed by a few shots...
I still had the sense to know that I was over the limit. That's when I decided to do what I have never done before: I took a bus home.
Sure enough, there was a police road block on the way home, and since it was a bus they waved it past. I arrived home safely without incident. This was both a great relief and a surprise because I had never driven a bus before. I don't even know where I got it from, and now that it is in my driveway, I don't know what to do with it.
I am not looking for a matching number car so much in that I want a split-window coupe car in a drive-able condition.Do tell. There were like a handful with the big brake, big tank models floating around. I think 199 Z06's made it out alive. If you have a matching numbers car, you have some serious history on your hands!
Hi Don! How you doing bro! It's good to hear from you and glad to know you're still with us.Wow...where did everyone go?
I know...I've been a bad boy and forgotten my first "Corvette" home. But hey, still alive...still working...and still have my 2003 Z06! And I figured I'd post up and say hello to all the old timers (that's you, John...lol) and hello to any of the newbies.
John...family is doing well. My oldest son had a distinguished 5 years in the USCG...got his own cutter command at 25 and was one of five out of five hundred 2nd Lieutenants to receive promotion to full Lieutenant a year early! He was being "fast tracked." Alas, much to his mother's chagrin he decided not to make it a career so he completed his commitment, went to Columbia University for his MBA in finance, and now is a VP at an investment bank in NYC doing M&A...talk about a pivot...lol.Hi Don! How you doing bro! It's good to hear from you and glad to know you're still with us.
As you can see, not too many of us here except me and some noobs. I feel like the soul caretaker. It's kind of weird. Never thought I would be the last man standing. Must be the Viagra!
How's your boy doing in the Coast Guard! He should be in some kind of command by now.
