My car is going to need 3 new pistons, and new valves. Pushrods DID NOT bend, instead the valves hit the pistons. It's a suprise to me. This happened from a mechanical overrev. Big mistake on my part.

Good to here, you got lucky. Did you have a stock shifter?

Yeah, I did. An aftermarket is the first think on my list now.

They are going to cover it under warranty. Yes!! They said the only way it could happen is the a downshift to occur, and the engine to be overreved. They said they would replace the broken parts one time.
Sounds like you have a good dealer ... surprised me to hear they are going to cover it under warranty even though they knew it was caused by operator error. :coo:

Good luck with the repairs.

What gear did you put it in and at what speed? Just curious. I had a few close calls and then i ordered a hurst.
It was the top of third, around 100. Down to second.

Thanks for the support. My first time dealing with a Chevy dealership, and it's turning out very good.

Tell them to inspect at the timing chain. That took a shock also when the P/V kissed
