The auction has 5 days to go, and the serious bidders haven't bid yet.

That is very close to what I would consider the wholesale price to be for a one year old car with 12,000, given an original cost of $48,000. I would be shocked if it went much higher.

$42,000? Not too bad - as others said there's a lot of time left and it's got 12,800 miles. I wouldn't expect it to go over $45,000

Most of the ones with reasonable mileage have been going for $45-46k on Ebay lately. Not too bad considering that I got mine for $47,710 new, plus 8 free oil changes, 7 months ago. I now question the value the GM oil changes /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif, but I digress. The problem is that 12,800 miles is about 3 years worth of mileage by typical Corvette standards. I say he would be lucky to give that car away. I spent $3k on a beater as my daily driver to avoid 5k in depreciation due to mileage, not to mention it is hard to sell a high mileage collector/sports car. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif If you want to use it as a daily driver, expect to take a big hit in the wallet. A substantial increase in price for the '02 would be nice and would really help resale though.
