In-N-Out Rally – July 9th, 10th, 11th ’10

Welcome to the thread discussing the first annual In-N-Out Rally. I want to emphasize “first annual” because I hope for this rally to be a huge success and become an annual trip for auto enthusiasts in the Pacific Northwest. This rally will take us down the Washington, Oregon, and California coastline on Hwy 101, and lead us through the Trinity National Forest via Hwy 299 to the burger lover’s Holy Grail that is In-N-Out in Redding, California.

This is an open invitation event for auto enthusiasts in the Pacific Northwest and neighboring states. This has been posted in the northwest section of a few select automotive boards. I hope to have autos from every major market in attendance. Exotics, euros, domestics, etc. This is going to be a 1300 mile adventure that will take place over the course of 3 days. Please have your vehicle prepared for such a trip. Full tank of gas, up to date maintenance, up to date insurance, roadside assistance, 2-way radios, etc.

50 rooms have been held at hotels for our Friday night stop and our Saturday night stop. Group discounted rates have been applied. Stops for lunch have also been arranged for Friday and Saturday, with dinner taking place at our hotel Friday night, and In-N-Out Burger Saturday night. Stops for gas will be up to each individual driver. Participants are welcome to run together in small groups/teams.

I’ll attempt to keep a running tally of those that have reserved rooms and plan to attend as well as what vehicle they’ll be bringing.

I am in no shape, way, or form responsible for the vehicles or participants in this rally. I do advise that those attending follow all applicable traffic laws. By attending this rally, you assume full responsibility for your actions.

It’s not a race, it’s a rally...

In an effort to control how many people attend, please contact me via email or private message so that I can provide you with lodging information. Lodging is on a first come, first serve basis. Lodging is also only available for those staying both Friday night and Saturday night with the group. Food and lodging stops have not been publicly posted so as to prevent random people jumping in along the way. If you’re a resident of Oregon, California, or other neighboring states and wish to meet up with the group, please email or private message me and I’ll provide you with info, but you will be responsible for your own lodging.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

No interest on here?

Should be an excellent drive. Various makes and models. I've got a Ferrari, Porsche, and Maserati confirmed. Several cars confirmed from GM and other domestic car makers. BMW's and Audi's in the mix as well.

Would love some LS6 and LS7 power along for the trip!

Sounds like a great time, but it would take 4-5 days to get there and then back, maybe one day, when I have oodles of time.

Anyone in the Northwest should consider this, it sounds like a blast, and I bet it will be a beautiful drive...

Yeah, that'd definitely be a loooong hike for you :yeadog:

The weather should be great. The scenery will be great. The burgers will be fantastic.

being a soldier I don't have a week to take off. I will be re-deploying from afghanistan and wouldn't be able to take the time off if I wanted to. it would be a hell of a ride though.

First off, thank you for your service to our country. :yeadog:

I know how it goes with military and time off. A very good friend of mine spent 8 years in the Army and missed most of the previous drives I've planned due to deployment or the inability to get the time off.

Wouldn't need a week off for this. Just 3 days off needed. But understandable if you can't do it.

Bump it up!

Less than 1.5 months left to get rooms booked. Roughly 50% of the available rooms have been booked so far.

Sign us up, have reservations for the rooms. Is there a sign-up sheet. We plan to meet the rally in Montessano. I will contact you prior to the rally for any specifics.

There isn't a sign-up sheet this year. I may try and implement one next year. This is posted on so many boards, that it would be very difficult to keep track of one.

And yes, feel free to contact me with any questions you may have between now and the rally. We'll figure out a way to coordinate in Montessano so that I can give you the directions and details for the first leg.

Great news! I’ve spoken with both hotels and they’ve extended the reservation window out to June 21st. Over 20 rooms have been booked at both hotels with multiple cars attached to some of those rooms. That still leaves 20 rooms left at the discounted group rate!
