I realize that I am a little ahead of the game thinking about new tires with my car's delivery in February, but has anybody used the Viper Michelin Pilot Sports on their 2006 Z06?

Based on Tire Rack's charts:

Front: 275/35-18 is about $70 less expensive, one pound lighter and only .1 inch larger in diameter (25.7 vs 25.6)

Rear: 345/30-19 (standard is 325) is about $30 less, has 10/32 vs 8/32 tread depth but is .7 inch larger in diameter (27.4 vs 26.7)

Michelin's load rating is superior and the UTQG is the same at 220 AA A.

I can deal with the speedometer error. Are there any handling or clearance issues?

Hopefully, by the time I need new rear tires (March or April) Michelin will have the 325/30-19s out.

By the way, I did a forum search on 345/30 and didn't get much usefully info.

Guess what you get with a cheaper tire. Poorer dry surface performance. You should try the Goodyears before you decide.
Does it get worse than the Eagle F1's???? Wow, I can't even imagine that! heh
