I have been fair easy on my 01 and when I excellerated briskly with traction control on I have never chirped the tires when shifting into second gear. the car has about 700 miles on it . Yesterday, with some urgings with my freinds I did a burn out . Now when ever I shift form first to second the tire chirp then followed by lagging like the traction control in trying to engage. Is this normal or should I be concerned. I would apprecitte any info. thanks, Zogger

The tires when new are VERY sticky. After a burnout or tire wear, they harden a little, which makes them easier to spin.....

I don't think anything is wrong, but if you are planning on shifting hard and high enough to bark the tires, turn TC off and leave AH on.....(Competitive Mode)

Shit man, I nearly looped my car the other day with the TC on (AH + TC). Scared the piss outta me

(I was accelerating onto a nice little road, and got on the throttle a bit, and the back broke loose HARD)
