When you keep it cool, you reduce the efficiency and the life of the engine. The temperature of the engine varies depending upon where you measure it, but the normal operating temperature where it is measured by the DIC appears to be 195' F.

How did you determine that the temperature which GM engineers decided to set the thermostat at was too hot, a gut feel, or some type of scientific evidence?
