I have bought a new Vet every year since '99. I plan to get a new Vet every year, and only trade it in if the trade-in money is right. I always look forward to the latest and greatest from Bowling Green. Hmmm, let's see.....anyone looking to buy a 2001 Torch Red Z06 with low mileage some time in August, 2001?

I traded my 2 '99 Hardtops after 18 months. I'll probably trade the wife's Z off when the C6 comes out and buy myself an SUV.

An SUV, my heart skipped a beat.

I'm keeping the Shark. It's not worth it to me for 20 hp. If I had a '99 or '00 C5, I might wait for a 2002... but it's kind of cool to have The AUTOMOBILE Of The Year 2001. The 2002 will just be year #2. All the scale models will be of the '01. If they change the wheels (another Z rumor), all the models won't reflect the change. Small points, but they add up. Hell, I kept my '89 Auto Coupe for 8 years... THIS car is going to entertain me for quite some time! How much $$$$ for 5% increase??

I am a financial planner, so I keep cars 10 years to get full value. I slipped on my last one. I traded my 1996 Dodge Viper GTS for this Z06. The Viper just wasn't comfortable on long trips, and no Viper owners to talk to around here.
I told my son/daughter that I would give this car to the one with the highest GPA in college, which should be in 8 years when she finishes. I may live to regret that when the time comes.
Took the car to MSRH this afternoon to see just how the C7 Z07 19/20 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2s would handle the cool winter weather.
Took a laps or 2 to get up to temp and after that they were very predictable.
But I think the larger rolling diameter of the 19/20's is throwing the Active...
Hard to believe its been 17 years of ownership, 112000 total miles - 5 years, 82000 miles & 2 LS6s, 12 years & 30000 miles on the LS7 Z07 upgrade, 5 sets of wheels later and we still enjoy this car immensely.
Here are the various setups and wheels the car has had since new, progressing from OEM...

I like the look of the OEM C6 guards and want to install a set on my C5-I know there are carbon fiber ones out there but they seem too large to me. I can't seem to find a vender that sells them for a C5-the only thing I have seen is people modifying the C6 versions to fit a C5. Anybody know of a...
