I am new here, but have been watching the board for a month or so. I went to the track last night in my 2001 Z06 and ran a 12.7 @ 110 mph. After that run my car started to grind every time I tried to go into 3rd gear. I was wondering what could be the cause of this problem? Is it a synchro? All advice is welcome.

Thanks,
Mark

Could be synchros &/or 3rd gear itself...Fixed under warranty. Been there, done that. The teeth in our mouths are stronger than the ones in the tranny,

Agreed, Synchro and do a steel shift fork while you are there. D&D or Rockland Gear are the best.
