I dig those other performance cars too..but the Vette is a no contest when you line the cars up..

The vettes beauty..performance...price ...and most of all in total packaged balance..makes it the success for almost 50 years that it has been in existance...

JB, my brother nice to see you here
You know I own both Vette and M5 and I have to tell you there is no Bimmer hype, the car is just finished much better, it also costs 20k more.
I think we both know though that even if you added 20k to the Vette, Chevy would not do the same job. As I always said though the Vette is the best bang for the buck by far.

OK, let me first say that the Z06 is the first car I have owned that is anywhere near the $50,000 mark. However, some of the complaints I have read about the Corvette just make me laugh, especially on some of the other forums. Now I admit, there do appear to be some lemons out there, but some people just complain and whine about every little thing. For the performance you get, $50,000 is pocket change. If you want perfection buy a Ferarri. You didn't buy a Ferarri, you bought a Chevy, so it isn't going to be perfect. For, the money, you can't beat it, even with the few quirks it might have. Heck even BMWs, that have some of the best fits and finishes around, have extremely high levels of unscheduled maintenance, according to everyone I know that has owned one. If you want a quiet "reliable" car, go buy a boring Civic and put some rice stickers on it. They don't have enough power to break anything. Stop whining. Just my $.02, not flaming anyone, except for maybe the ricers.

Corvette is the best bang for the buck out there. Except for a little oil consumption on both of my Zs, they have been problem free and I am extremely happy!!

I wouldn't be caught dead in a Honda!!

Z06Scott, I couldn't agree more. I've not had even 1% of the problems that I see complained about on various forums. I often wonder if people don't bring a lot of the problems on themselves through their maintenance and driving habits.

Never had a car that was problem free. Don't expect a perfect car, and I don't look for problems either. All the noises associated with the Z06 don't bother me, I'm enjoying the performance.
