I had a damaged engine (piston and some valves and the cam) due to timing chain bolts breaking.......Anyway, i went for the stealth cam II, comcams dual springs, and a local slight porting of the heads, also 202/1.6 valves. The whole job should be done by the weekend. other mods i have already done are pulley, flywheel, Haltech trap.
My question is after all the work is over, how would i use the predator programmer? As i understand it, i have the following options:
1- Download performance file as usual
2- Download Head/Cam file ive been told exists
3- Rent a dyno and use programmer(no tuners here)
4- Chuck it in the bin or sell it i mean!
Any advice guys for an inexperienced Zo6(2002) owner??

Yes you CAN use the Predator to program for H & C. You will have to call then with your specific mods and they will custom make a program for you.

A dyno will still help to achieve the max output.

NO, there is not.

If you put the stock program from the Predator you will probably lose power. You need a custom program.

You seem to be making some nice power with the few performance mods you have, especially with that predator tune. So who should i contact for a custom file to be sent to me? Any idea on prices?
Less importantly at this stage, how much power can i expect to increase with that tune with the mods i stated above vs leaving stock tune? is it really necessary when you slightly port the heads with the new cam i chose? :eek2:

They can give you an emailed tune for your predator after filling out all the info. Cost is approx. $100.00 from a dealer. You also need to buy the Predator/PC interface. You will definitely leave hp on the table though, but the drivability will be good. There is nothing as good as a dyno tune.

Diablosport does have "canned files for heads and cam..

I'm considering going with a P1SC setup for mine. I've attached an email to Johan (Diabosport's GM custon R&D guy)
He already had a "blower program ready to go..

I've edited the email due to Diablosport's copyright rules.

Here is a starter file for #42's and 7psi, timing might be on the
aggressive side so please monitor the spark.

Sincerely:
