Vader06,

If you don't mind, tell us about your wheel and tire setup.

I'm using a custom setup from CCWheel. John suggested we (he made a run of about six sets for the Z06) set the front track out about 1/4 inch and the rear out about 1/8 inch. Tires are 245 40x17 front and 275 35X18 rear Hoosier autocrossers. I think the setup should be good, and it defintily looks good. I'm going to Roswell, NM for a test and tune 17,18 Feb then to Divisional in Phoenix on 24, 25 Feb. I'll know much more after that. Let me know if you have any specific questions.

Sorry, forgot to mention that the wheels are stock width and diameter, but the wheel and tire combo are about 5 lbs lighter per wheel than the stock Z06 setup.

Dave,

No. I've weighed the CCWheels without tires, but not the originals. The five pound saving is wheel and tire combo together. It's not five pounds exactly, and I don't remember the the exact numbers, but if you need them, let me know, or we'll talk in Phoenix. My scale is very acurate.

Jose,

You've made a wise purchase. That's an execellent price for Z06 tires. None of us know, at this point, what tire will work best with the Z06, but we'll learn fast. Whether it's Hoosier, Kumho, or BFG (less likely given they are not making autocrossers anymore) we all need tires to practice on. I plan to move to 305/zr30 18 autocrossers, which Hoosier says will be availabie on 21 Feb, but they are $255 each. Needles to say, I won't be using them for much of my practice runs.
