Latest issue of Vette Magazine.
Article on bolt-ons for the '01 Z06.
Check out the data and you be the judge.

Baseline on the '01 Z06 - 332rwhp and 335 ft lbs torque.
Donaldson filter only - 346rwhp and 344 ft lbs torque.
+ SLP exhaust - 355rwhp and 355 ft lbs torque.

+14rwhp with Donaldson upgrade alone.
+23rwhp with Donaldson and SLP Exhaust.

- SLP exhaust was 3 lbs heavier than the Ti unit.
- Article used a DynoJet dyno.
- Their base numbers practically match mine using Breathless' Mustang Dyno.
- And when calculating driveline loss, they used 15% as their variable.

Wow, pretty decent numbers for not very much money. If I recall, the SLP stuff was always priced very competitively. Performance/price ratio seems pretty good...

Like I've been trying to convince you guys for some time. If they are off, it cant be by much. But everyone has their opinions.. just like they have... uh... well... :p

That SLP exhaust... I think it was the "loudmouth?!" ...looked like just a couple of pieces of curved pipping, no muffler. and it still weighed 3 lbs over the Ti unit!

That's almost exactly what I got on my stock dyno on a Dynojet. Be nice if they tested Corsa exhaust since that's what the majority seems to switch to. Those SLP exhausts don't have mufflers. But those numbers seem to mirror mine.

Hey Les,

Forgot to mention... I saw your '01 Speedway out front of Lou Bachrodt Chevy for sale today. Man, I like that '02 EB of yours but that Speedway out there with the chromed Z wheels... looked shweet out there.

What kind of gains are people seeing going to a Corsa over the Ti?

Looks like they got another 9 out of the SLP Loudmouth? And only 3 lbs?

Anyone else have some data to back this up?

Blackwing

Good to see those numbers being published by Vette. I am waiting on my monthly issue:)

We have the Blackwing on special for $225, shipped FREE, as well as great pricing on the SLP Loudmouth. I have heard that the loudmouth is a little to loud in the resonance department however.

I am assuming the SLP Loudmouth is the same basic system that is on my friends SS Camaro. His sytem is LOUD and it does NOT have mufflers...

That's what the picture looked like... just a couple of tubes... and it was still 3 pounds heavier than the entire Ti unit.
