Is the vortex power duct worth the money (289.00)?
What kind of horse power and torque increases will you see?
Any info would be apreciated.

I honestly don't know if it's worth the money. I'm taking a wait and see stance on this one. I think $289 is a little high for a piece of plastic, regardless of how nice it looks. Now if it were carbon fiber...

It costs more than the Vortex Rammer, so if it doesn't provide the same hp increase, I'll be hesitant to buy it. JMHO

On a stock engine engine you will only see a few hp from their duct, I think the price is on the high side too.

I have to agree with Carl. The larger MAF and the LS6 intake pulls a lot of air.
Now on the LS1 that's a different story.

Of course the 2001 LS1's share the MAF and intake with the LS6, so gains would be similar for all 2001's.

If you are planning to mod your engine down the road you may want to go this route, but for most bolt on mods your stock duct will be fine.
