I am looking for the name and address of a Bell or Simpson helmet dealer in the Detroit area. Not interested in a motorcycle helmet because they are not approved for all car track events.

I just bought one off the internet. I found a link from Ebay to a retailer that sells all of its products there. Then I just bought it from them instead of bidding. Now mine was a motorcycle helmet with graphics, but the company also sold the brands you are looking for.
There were also many new ones of all different sorts on Ebay. I know one other person that bought a new one there and another friend who got a good used one. I didn't want to go the used route, but to each his own.

Thanks Chris, but I do not want to buy without trying one on for size first. I am not too comfortable with mail order until I have the exact size, model, color, style, etc known first.

I went to the store and tried on some sizes to see what fit appropriately. Then I bought a just discontinued helmet at a great price. It was snell 95 instead of 00.
I'm sure it is easier to find a place with really high prices around you than one with low ones. It was for me.
