I ran my first AutoX this weekend. I had a blast and learned a lot! /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif
After my 3d run, when I stopped to get my time slip, a " Warm Up Complete " message came streaming across the DIC. This after the 3d run and the engine was running about 221 degrees.
Has anyone seen this before and do you know why it would come on at that time?
No,
My impression is that it was resetting/restarting is all. Your main computer is in a constant selfdiagnostic mode and the permutations are in the millions with all of the sensors it monitors so I am just assuming that you hit a combination with the kind of runs your were doing that it did the restart/reset signal. I will watch for mine again as I have been playing with all of the modes and let you know exactly what I am doing next time I see it. I would personally put this one in the "not to worry category" ......
The "Warm Up Complete" has been noticed twice in my car. Once in a AutoX and the other while driving around town. The key is that it displays something else prior to that but I can't remenber what it said. It did not have anything to do with the motor or trans. I think it was with the active handling. I will look for it.
First I got the Active Handling Warming up message, then the Active Handling Warming Complete message.
The only thing I did differently was that I had the oil temperature displayed on the DIC. I usually drive with the DIC empty but I was monitoring oil temps to see how long it took the car to warm up before pounding the pavement.
