What are these holes in the trunk lid?

I just noticed this today. One on each side, looks like where a snubber might have went. I don't see anything in the parts manual for this location so maybe nothing goes there, but it appears as if something went there at one time.

Do ya'll have these blank holes in your trunks?

I don't know what the holes are for..but mine are the same as yours... :-?

To let water/ moisture out, just in case there is a break in seal between the two pieces. :cheers:

...and the "reverse opening" lid doubles as an air brake at DE's and the drags... :rofl:
