My car seems to be slower than the other 2002 Z06s as far as what other people have posted on dyno and 1/4 mile stats.

But it seems to get very good gas mileage.

Z06Y LADY just posted that her car was turning 2200 @ 70MPH. Mine is turning about 1700 @ 70MPH and 1500 @ 60MPH in 6th gear.

Now I wonder if my car has the correct gears in the diff...

Z06Y LADY needs to take another look at her tachometer. I don't have my Z yet but according to R&T you should be running 1500 rpm @ 60 mph in 6th. That's for the 2001 Z06, but I guess it should be the same for 2002's.

Frisky .. don't worry, you've got the right gears. In sixth I need to get near 80 before I hit 2000 RPM. I think Z06Y Lady was in 5th to get that combination of speed/rpm.

Frisky, the picture of the IP in the Z06 full feature brochure tends to support your observation. The brochure shows a Z06 speedo at exactly 70 mph and the tach at ~1800 rpm. Presumably this photo corresponds to what one should see driving in "6th" gear.

Either z06 lady is in 5th at [email protected] or she does'nt actually have a Z. At 80mph the car turns 2000rpm's in 6th.For evey 5mph more,the tach increases 100rpm.The rear end is a 3:42 and 6th gear is .56 or .54 to 1 ratio.
