Going to look at wheels at some point. I have the stock Z06 wheels now, of course.

Going to need the extra set for tracking the car. Are there wheels that are preferred for such a purpose? I know having lighter wheels would seem to be an advantage. Brands I've heard so far are CCW, iForged. I also understand that 2001 Z06 wheels are different from 2002 and later (a little heavier?). Not sure I want to drop down to the T1 standard 17's just yet. Going to wait on that move. Thanks.

I recommend CCW, Kodiak or Circle Wheels race wheels. These are lighter and stronger.

I also recommend getting these with the SCCA stock allowed +0.25" offset (each side) built in.

For size & tires I recommend Hooosier or Khumo in

305/30x18 on 10.5x18 with +0.25" offset FRONT
315/35x17 on 11x17 with +0.25" offset REAR

These will fit on a lowered car without tubbing or removing the rear brake ducts, and will allow front brake duct extensions and spindle ducts.
