Dince having my engine replaced at the dealer for warranty reasons, I now have a whining noise while driving from the engine area. If I push in the clutch the noise goes away. If I am sitting still there is no noise so I know it is not the throw out bearing. It is also not wheel bearings since I put chassis ears on the suspension to test it. The noise is coming from the back of the engine near the flywheel area. Has anyone ever heard of this?

Dont mean to scare you, but a second installed will never be like from the factory, maybe the dealer installation isnt perfect, which is normal, I say take it back and demand satisfaction, now you have 36k, 3 year left in you engine's warranty :yeadog:

I just got a survey and made a phone call, appointment next week with a loaner car and all - even without the survey -rydell chevrolet is by far the best customer service dealer I have ever dealt with from General Motors.
