I have not bought/sold any Vettes from them, but have had numerous "hassles' from them on the other forum. I am not one to complain or cry sour grapes, BUT in this case I want to notify you and any one who reads this to know about this ourfit.
The other forum was asked to "ban me" from posting there by one of the brokers of the Vette Net. This unnamed person also said "He did NOT look forward to meeting me at their 2nd annual cruise-in." OK by me, I took the hint and did not attend their cruise in because I did not want to go where I wasn't wanted...would you? That in itself didn't matter to me, but I feel bad because I did not meet the hundreds of good people I was looking forward to meeting...sad!
My main intent on posting info about cars for sale on the other forum was simply to help fellow Vet lovers SAVE money when buying a new Vet. If, dealer X, Y, or Z, offered the best discount on a new Vet, I strongly suggest the potential buyer at least call that dealer to inquire about the price. Not too complicated, is it? And yes, I do receive a $100 referral fee IF anybody buys from a certain dealer I like. I always split that $100 finders fee with the buyer 50/50.....anything wrong with that? I have also recommended other dealers to forum readers where by I did NOT get referral fees...I simply wanted to help the out of state buyer find a dealer who sold him a new Vet at GMS price, which saved that fellow thousands of dollars. Anythingwrong with that? BUT, Vette Net does not like me posting anything on the for sale topic of the other forum....matter of fact I have been officially "warned" by the owner of the other forum that I will be banned if I post one more time on their for sale topic! OK, I respect that because he owns it and makes his living from the forum. No problem with Zippy on that. However, when it comes to a "Broker and/or Agent" finding someone a Vet of their dreams I have to pause and ask myself: "Why should I pay a middle man hundreds of dollars to help me find a new Vet? Hello? It is not too difficult to call or email different dealers yourself and save yourself middle man fees.
Enough of my soap box ramblings...if anyone wants help/tips/suggestions/contacts/ or anything further regarding buying the Vet of your dream, please email me privately and I would be glad to help you any way I can!
