Guys:

I ordered a set of BFG drag radials in 315/35-17 for my '02 Z06.

I could put them on my spare pair of front Z06 wheels, but at 9.5" wide, they are narrow for this tire size.

I called CCW and they said they could make me a 17X11 or 17X11.5 track rim in their "Classic" design. Is anybody running the 11.5 width and can confirm that it fits with no problems? I just have standard brakes/rotors.

Thanks!

ZR-1 & GS had 315 rears on 17x11 wheels. I believe 11" is the "design rim" width for that tire. BFG should be able to advise on optimum width. The GS offset wheels fit on the back without problems. It's either 50 or 58 mm.

Yeah, ZR1 or replica wheels can be a really cheap option. 17x11, they will fit fine (lots of guys rub them), and they only cost 300-400 a pair!

Hello.

John at CCW knows what our cars can take.

I have run 17X12 and 18X12 rear CCW wheels for road course events and they fit fine. For the 12" you will need to pull the rear brake ducts and they do stick out but for track time only, no problems.

If you are going to drive it on the street I would not go wider than 11 inches so you can keep your brake ducts.

The 315/35 R17 Drag radial is designed to fit onto a 11 to 12 inch rim so you would be fine with either CCW wheel.

Thanks, Perry
