I've decided to have my Z wheels done in Black Chrome and the wheel shop that is doing the work is loaning me a set of wheels for the 3 weeks it takes to do this. They say they have a nice set of 1999 C5 wheels that will fit my current tires (I gave them the sizes of my current wheels).

I thought the brakes on the Z were to big for standard C5 wheels. Can anyone confirm that this should be okay. I'm drving up to San Francisco from San Diego and don't want problems. Thanks.

Should be no trouble at all. I've seen many Z06's with some '97-99 stock rims at Auto-X etc. The brakes are the same as far as I know, just red paint/powdercoat. Heck, I bolted some stock '98 Camaro rims on the back and they are 16x8. They just barely tough the top of the upper a-arm.

Yes they will fit. I have a set of '99 wheels and have had them on my Z. (On track)
The brakes are the same!
I do not know if the tires will fit the rims. Probably will.
