I had the infamous *fuel pump whine* with my '98 Targa, and after 2 dealer-fixes, it never was perfect....I got used to it.

Now, after 900 miles on my Z06, the whine is there too. Guess I'll live with it, as MANY other C5rs are doing.

I did not expect the whine on the Z06.....anyone else with a Z06 experiencing it?

Hi there,
Iwould not leave it, as this should not be accepted.
If they cannot do it, I would go to a dealer to fix the issue.
Just remember that you can tell if it is the pump, or just a vibration.
If the tanks are below 1/4, it could make more noise, than when full.
See if it changes, and let us know, c4c5

mmorse......yes, while idling is when you really hear the 'whine'.

My '98 coupe took 18 months and 10,000 miles before it became evident. It was first heard on the '98 when the tanks were nearly empty, then on a 6,000 mile NCRS Road Tour to Sun Valley, Idaho, it gradually became "constant". There are several TSBs out on the pre-2001 C5s re the whine.
