Well, I’ve got a GEO prism rental car for the week while my Z06 is in the hospital. So naturally this is a great opportunity to write a review comparing these two fine GM products. Stop reading now if you lack a sense of humor.
The GEO prism blows the doors of my Z06 is several important areas. There’s a long list of things I don’t need: a Mobile One six-pack, my radar detector, Zaino, my CD’s, CAGS defeater, and of course the can of fix-o-flat.
When this baby puts all four to work, it pumps out 115 hp and rockets you forward to 60 in a scant 9 seconds flat. The quarter mile comes up in just 17.0 seconds, and at this point you’re going so fast you hit the car’s top speed of 112 mph. Gas mileage beats the Z06 too, at an EPA 29/34.
Car and Driver should have added this gem to their performance shootout. Like the M3, it has two rear seats – maybe it would have beaten the Z06 too.
