The ZR 1 was a good car in its time, which has passed. The Z06 will suffer the same fate.

This kind of subject usually gets me in dutch especially on the ZR-1 Net. But as I own one and soon will own both, I would be first to admit the new Z06 is now the KOTH.

Many believe the ZR-1 still is the "fastest" Corvette, in terms of top speed, but IMHO the Z06 (for 2002) will soon have that honor as well.

Aside from the ultimate performance bragging rights, the C5 derived Z06 is also an immensely better car in terms of passenger car refinement.
