Britons Mark Newby and Colin Fallows have accelerated their car to 146 mph (235 kph) in just 1,000 yards (meters) -- the longest, safest distance available to them in England. They say the test showed they can easily beat the world record.
I had no idea Blighty was such a small crowded island... I know of at leat 100 "1000 yard" stretches in and around Houston where you can "safely reach 146mph"... in fact I even know of a few 5,000 yard stretches.. :sneaky: :sneaky: :sneaky: -- that can be "safely" used..

1) Build many breeder reactors in the US
2) convert to elec cars/trucks w 220V hi-speed recharging and real-time brake recharging
3) Tell OPEC, et al, to f**k off.

Sounds good to me. Where is GE when you need them? If this car helps push this result, good for them.

I want the first Z06 with four, 150 HP elec motors. :)
