Yes, the LS6 is made in St. Catherines, Ontario, near Niagara Falls. Mrs Zippy and I frequently stay at the "Inn at Lock 7," motel. This motel overlooks the Welland Canal's Lock 7, which connects Lake Ontario and Erie. Ocean going ships and pleasure craft must use the locks to travel between these lakes....anyway, GM's St. Catherine engine plant is only 3-4 miles from the motel and last year I drove around the plant trying to get a glimpse of a truckload of LS6 engines....no luck, maybe this year I can get an invitation to visit this facility somehow.

Is that spec correct for the 6th gear ratio at .56? I read that the MN6 was .50 and the M12 was .75. I personally thought the .50 6th was useless in everyday driving.

The most striking aspect of this is that GM's performance claims for the 0-60 are dramatically different from what every car magazine (and virtually every test reported on forums) has shown.

Decent compilation, but for afew errors.

1. C&D's 1/4 mile ET is listed as 13.7 - should be 12.7
2. MT did not test 0-30 in their November high speed shootout. Have no idea here that 2.04 came from???

Rappid, My 0-60 was 3.88 on my 12.003 1/4mi run. Yes it was on a preped track but it CAN be done. Ric
